We Appreciate You!!

J&S Lodge, Inc. was formed by our founders, Jim and Shirley Stabile.  They moved their family from Sterling Heights, MI to Paradise in 1978, and purchased The Cedar Lodge motel and cabins.  In 1983, they bought the vacated Little Falls Inn and Red Flannel Saloon to keep another business going in Paradise. They always dreamed of what it could be to have a new, full-service hotel in Paradise, and what that could offer for tourism, so in the mid 90's, they started to plan. They removed some of the old cabins and started plotting the land they would need. At 63 years old, Jim was the General Contractor, and worked side by side with Nomad construction to build what started as a Best Western, which opened in 2000, then a Magnuson Grand, and now our indepentdent Paradise Lakefront Lodge.

Their daughter, Laurie, left her job at Brimley Area Schools and took over management of the hotel in 2003.  She has built an incredible reputation for cleanliness, comfort, and making each guest feel at home.

Their grandson, Josh, left his career as a chef at Bay Harbor Yacht Club, and took the reins of Little Falls Inn, bringing one of the first fresh, from scratch kitchens to the eastern UP. It was rebranded as The INN, and the last decade has written its own story.

Here at The INN, our mission is simple: to bring you fresh, creative foods in a place that we love and are thrilled to be sharing with you. From our in-house smoked meats, incorporating unique flavors from around the world into American foods, to our famous Carrot Cake and homemade Ketchup, we want your experience with us to be as welcoming as it is memorable.
